The SkillsTrain CCNA/CCNP Cisco Course

Your Questions Answered

Q: Do I need existing computing skills to study CCNA?
Before enrolling you on the CCNA course we will assess your abilities and advise you of your suitability for the course. Those with less experience of computing may like to consider the CompTIA N+ course as a foundation, before moving on to CCNA. After achieving CCNA, many students move on to study the more advanced professional qualification, CCNP.

Q: How long will the course take?
The great advantage of a  SkillsTrain home study course is that you can study in your own time, at your own pace. Your SkillsTrain tutor will discuss your personal circumstances and work schedule, but you could achieve CCNA within 12 months and move on to achieve CCNP within 24 months.

Q: Is there a time limit within which I need to complete the exams?
No, studies are undertaken at your own pace, though we encourage you to set a timetable within which to sit your certification exams.

Q: What will I receive at the end of it?
You will receive the world’s most highly recognised Cisco CCNA certification and those who continue to complete the more advanced CCNP course will be able to add this professional qualification to your business card.

Q: What is included in the price of the course?
You will receive all course work necessary to complete each section of your course in carefully bound ring binders, with clear indexing.

You will have the opportunity to attend practical classroom sessions and Live Internet Training and have the benefit of digital video on CD, with graphical illustrations and narration.

You have access to your own personal tutor and to tuition support through our unique Student World intranet.

You will have the resources of one of the world’s most successful distance learning colleges at your finger tips, for support and to answer any questions that may arise.

Q: Who assesses my work?
Your work is assessed by fully qualified SkillsTrain tutors who will be on hand throughout your studies to guide, assess and advise.
